Alessandro Marongiu

Alessandro Marongiu is Head of Trade Policy at the SMMT.

A policy adviser with more than 10 years' experience, he represents the interests of the UK automotive sector in domestic and international trade matters, including FTA negotiations, trade remedies and market access issues.

Before joining the SMMT, Alessandro worked as trade expert for the telecommunications industry and international trade think tanks.

He holds a Master in International Law and Economics (MILE) from the World Trade Institute in Bern, Switzerland, and a Master in International Relations from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Italy.
